Mercy In Action Newsletter – November 11, 2014 | Rebuilding After the Storm

100% MATCHING FUNDS AVAILABLE NOW!
This week is the one year anniversary of the terrible disaster that hit the Philippines.

As you know, our Mercy In Action team responded to the super typhoon disaster last November, and stayed in tents at ground zero giving
emergency medical aid and delivering babies until February.

Since returning full time to our Olongapo birth center, we have been
working on rebuilding in the disaster zone… this September Vicki
was honored to be present for the grand opening of a brand new clinic
and birth center building that had been totally destroyed in the

storm.

These pictures will tell a story for you of the destruction, the rebuilding, and the joy that now exists in that once broken land. But the rebuilding is not over. This midwife is not charging the patients, but has yet to receive any help from the government.

Immediate Opportunity to
Double your Donation:

Now a donor has offered to match 100% of all donations going to organizations doing recovery building in the disaster zone, and they chose Mercy In Action to receive those matching funds, but only if the donations are made through Global Giving, and only while the funds last. There is currently  $35,000 in this fund, so if you were going to give to Mercy In Action this year, please give through Global Giving today, so that your money will be doubled, and we can do twice as much with your gift to help the survivors have a safe, clean, loving and prayerful place to give birth in that still recovering disaster zone.

Love,
Vicki Penwell,
for the Mercy In Action Team
