2015 Keynote Speakers

Francisco E González, PhD is the Riordan Roett Senior Associate Professor of Latin American Studies at The Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS). His research interests include the political impacts of financial and economic crises in Latin America. He is a regular commentator on CNN en Español and two-time SAIS Excellence in Teaching Award recipient.

George Flores, MD, MPH is Program Manager for The California Endowment’s Healthy California Prevention team. His work focuses on grant-making to improve health and equity through community-level prevention and a transformational health workforce. He served as Public Health Officer in San Diego and Sonoma Counties. Dr. Flores is a founder of the Latino Coalition for a Healthy California.

Oscar Chavez, is the Assistant Director of Human Services for the County of Sonoma. He served as Executive Director of the Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County. In his current capacity, Oscar oversees the County’s Upstream Investments Initiative. He received the 2012 North Bay Business Journal non-profit leadership award.
