2016 Grant Cycle Open
The Foundation for the Advancement of Midwifery (FAM) grants funding for programs and projects that advance midwifery through:
- Education—provide education to the general public, expectant parents, midwives and student midwives, and/or policy makers regarding the midwifery model of care.
- Research—support research activities relating to the midwifery model of care.
- Policy—impact policy regarding maternal and child healthcare and/or women’s health that favors using the midwifery model of care and midwives as care providers.
- Promoting Health Equity—projects that implement the midwifery model of care for those most vulnerable in maternal and infant mortality rates.
The Foundation grants an average of $4,000 to each project with typical grants ranging from $1,000 to $15,000.
