…The Health and Wellness Center opened in 2007 and became a federally qualified health center in 2011. Federally qualified health centers are eligible for enhanced reimbursement from Medicare and Medicaid, as well as other benefits. In 2015, the Health and Wellness Center had more than 11,000 patient visits. The center has offices in Marin City, San Rafael and San Francisco’s Bayview Hunters Point neighborhood.

The new birth center will be located in a 1,600-square-foot space at 880 Las Gallinas Ave. It will feature two birthing suites equipped with birthing tubs and beds.
