June 22 “An Introduction to Basic Chinese Medical Understanding of Obstetrics and Post Partum”
Diane Gioioso has studied and practiced acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine since 1998. Her initial training in the medicine was in Florida at the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture (Master’s of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbs) and through traditional apprenticeships. Since 2000, she has been a Chinese medical student of 88th generation Daoist priest, Jeffrey Yuen. She serves as faculty of the acupuncture Master’s and Doctoral programs at Maryland University of Integrative Health (MUIH) and the Chinese Herbal department and Postgraduate certification in Women’s Health at that institution.
She is passionate about how this traditional medicine can improve the women’s health in modern times. Her general clinical practice includes a concentration in fertility and peripartum care and the natural outcome of that work-pediatrics. Diane is a mother to a nine-year old son and maintains a clinic in Baltimore, Maryland.
