Hearthside Perinatal Bereavement Care is dedicated to serving the families suffering loss by serving the birth professionals who work with pregnant women. We are passionate about providing perinatal bereavement education and experiences to professionals of all kinds so every family has access to a trained perinatal bereavement companion who is appropriate to their particular need.
Recognizing that black babies die at nearly 2.5 times the rate of white children in the United States, Hearthside is particularly passionate about increasing the number of companions of color available to serve these families in need. To this end, Hearthside will offer a full scholarship to our webinar series to TWO doulas/midwives of color during each training. We also offer an Indigenous Birthworker Scholarship to anyone of a Native American background. This means there are six opportunities a year for doulas/midwives to receive scholarships for bereavement training with which to serve their communities. Click HERE to go to our application page.
